Elementary School English
Miss Angela Reisner
Angela was one of the first students at NGHEA and one of the first graduates. She was an ideal, straight A student......a pure delight to her teachers. Now, we welcome her back to NGHEA as a teacher. She has a gift.
1 Timothy 4:12 says
"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for the believers in your speech, your conduct, your love, faith, and purity."
Angela Reisner was raised in Indiana, and has lived in North Georgia for the past 6 years. She is currently a sophomore at Dalton State College, and is majoring in International Affairs. Angela loves to help kids let their imagination soar free and “bring the blank sheet of paper to life, like a painted canvas”. Everything has a story to tell, and it is our job to write it down :) She has been writing ever since she could hold a pencil (there were stories before that, but not many could decipher crayon scribbles ;) ) and has just finished writing a book, entitled “Reizen”, which is in the editing process. Angela has a strong passion for teaching; which is not limited to the field of English.
She will be instructing the middle school Georgia History class as well. This class will be utilizing the Notgrass curriculum. Her elementary Writing class will be using the Writer’s Express (2000) text.
Angela is also an entrepreneur, being the owner of 'Hoofbeats In Harmony Equestrian Center'. This full-service facility provides horseback riding lessons, unmounted clinics, training, and summer camps.
Mrs. Linda Cochran
Linda Cochran was reared in a Christian home and spent her childhood in Alaska, California, Hawaii, and Texas. She holds three degrees, including a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Hawaii.
Linda and husband Casey have been married since 1977. They have 5 children, all home-schooled. They reside in Woodstock and are longtime members of Calvary Baptist Church in Smyrna.
The Cochrans spent the 1980s in California working in a Christian boarding/day school, where Linda was executive secretary of the junior high and tutor to struggling students. Since 2001, Linda has taught a variety of courses to middle and high school homeschoolers, including science, math, and language arts.
