North Georgia Home Education Academy - 2010 NORTH GEORGIA FALCONS BASKETBALL If you are interested in playing basketball for the North Georgia Falcons, please attend a meeting on Sunday, November 14 @4:00 at the Jasper Elementary School Gym. Wear tennis shoes and be prepared for possible evaluations.We are looking at having Middle school boys, High School boys and High School girls teams if there are enough people to do so. The decision will be made on Sunday after the meeting. Tryouts will be held if there are more than 12 people in each age group. Each player will need to submit an information form by the first practice. North Georgia Falcons - ACCE High School Basketball Champions

The North Georgia Falcons beat the American Heritage Eagles to win the ACCE High School Basketball Championship on Saturday night. Led by seniors Zach Walsh and David Ross, the Falcons played aggressive defense and fast-paced offense on their way to the 56-49 victory. The game was close for most of the time with North Georgia pulling ahead 38-34 at the half. At the end of the third quarter, the Falcons still only led by 3 points. However, with 3 minutes left in the game, the Falcons spurted to a ten point lead when Julian Champ and Karter Brown hit back to back 3 point shots to make the score 56-49. The Falcons then began to milk the clock, putting the game away when Zach Walsh scored on a breakaway layup and David Ross tapped in a pass from Zane McDaniel. David Ross, Zach Walsh and Julian Champ were named to the ACCE All-Tournament Team.
