2010 SAT PREP COURSE
Do you have a student who will be taking the SAT in the next 2 months? Do you know a student who is preparing right now and sweating about the SAT?
Would you like to have your student ready for the SAT?
The SAT Reasoning and Subject Tests are important to college bound students and especially home school students. SAT scores not only qualify students for entry, but often are the criteria used by colleges and universities to identify scholarship candidates. So, to say they are important is an understatement!
The SAT is not like other tests. It is primarily a reasoning test, not a knowledge based test. To do their best, students require a different strategy than other tests. They need reliable knowledge about the test itself and how it works.
Starts March 6th! Saturday morning classes (8:30AM –Noon) will begin on March 6th. This next session of classes is designed to get your student ready for the May 1st test date. (If there is enough interest I will conduct classes for the June test date as well. Just let me know.) Consider this a comprehensive crash course taught by experienced teachers with the support of a nationally recognized leader in SAT Prep! Along with teaching other classes for home school students in the area, I am an instructor for a leading SAT/ACT Prep company called “Study Works”.
The program is so comprehensive that it includes a $100 retake policy! (After taking the SAT, students may sign up to retake the whole course for just $100 to further increase their score.) The program provides students with over 20 hours of classroom instruction including a 4 hr practice test supported by a proprietary text, online homework, and evaluation of a student’s progress. Study Works allows me to teach home school students (and any other students who come directly to me) for a reduced cost. The program normally costs $595 to $795.

April 10th (8:30AM-Noon) Critical Reading 2 (Long & Dual Passages)
April 17th (8:30AM-Noon) Math 2 (Geometry & “Lagniappe”)
April 24th (8:30AM-12:30pm) Practice Test

The schedule allows students to complete the whole course with all homework before the May 1st test date. Your student will learn when to skip and not to skip. They will learn about guessing. They will learn how to use knowledge they already have to eliminate wrong answers and uncover the correct response even when they don’t know it! Please take advantage of these classes.
